In every community across the country, there are military kids and families. And they would love your help and support! Kids of America’s Heroes can help connect you with military families and resources. A time of giving gifts, and giving back to our communities.
This season, consider donating to Kids of America’s Heroes. To help you make your decision, take a few things into consideration that can help to make their lives a little easier.
1. MilKids are our kids!
K.O.A.H initiatives are designed to make their lives a little easier.
This season, consider donating to Kids of America’s Heroes. To help you make your decision, take a few things into consideration that can help to make their lives a little easier.
2. We don’t just need your cash

Nope! We just want YOU! In any capacity you can offer, your personal support of K.O.A.H. and MilKids is what matters. While money certainly helps us to advocate and create educational programs, it is the personal touch that matters most.
MilKids need help from counselors, educators, writers, religious leaders and every person in their community. So, if you want to help, get in touch!
3 . We can help your community
If you need help, let us know! We can help to connect your military family to area resources or provide education and training to help your make your transition easier.
Know a military family or group that could use some expert advice? We can help with that too! We have awesome people on the K.O.A.H. team who can either provide support or direct you to support.
4. Help make it easier for MilKids
Imagine moving every few years, starting in endless new schools or saying good-bye to a parent over and over again. It’s hard!
K.O.A.H. can make it easier to transition after a PCS. We can help with that!
But we do need help to share the resources. And you can help with that.
5. There is more need
There is an almost endless need out there for support for military children, their families and other people in their lives (like teachers). We would love to expand our programs, and reach more people in power through advocacy.
Getting new initiatives off the ground comes at a cost. That’s where you come in: with additional funds, we can reach more people!

6. Advocacy takes time, and travel
Our lawmakers have a LOT on their plates, understandably. But we don’t want military children and families to be swept under the rug.
That means that we need to keep them front and center, with advocates pounding the halls of Congress continuously. Or sending letters, making phone calls and writing emails. To help us get to the lawmakers, get your donations and help to us!
Whether you are able to donate your money or your time, we are grateful. In fact, calling or writing your Senators and Representatives would help us a lot! Bring up their support for military families and children, and ask that they keep our MilKids in mind.
7. Make a MilKid feel special
Ever move to a new place, and feel out of sorts? That’s how MilKids feel all the time! Help us to make a MilKid feel loved and welcomed. Our programs and advocacy help MilKids receive a warm welcome in their new community through education and support.

We can help train teachers about special MilKid needs, like emotional support during deployments. We can help connect community groups to military support groups or charities, too.
8. Sponsor a workshop
Non-military adults are involved in the lives of MilKids constantly. K.O.A.H. can provide workshops and trainings to help teach them the ins and outs of helping our MilKids. If you don’t know about deployments, it can be hard to help a child navigate one.
By donating to K.O.A.H., you can help us to teach others how to help our MilKids through the ups and downs of military life.
9. Help us to spread the message
If you believe in our mission, consider sponsoring our efforts! We need, and want, your company or group to join the team. Sponsorship opportunities are available right now!
Whatever way you can best help is perfect! Mostly, we just need YOU to help us help MilKids. And that’s something we can all support this holiday season.
